Concert Review: Roger Hodgson at Tilburg and at Cologne

Concert of Tilburg...
2 PM : We were very lucky, We met Roger near the concert room..
            We had a small discussions together.
            We took pictures
            Also I was with my friend Benoit and his son Nicola ( 12 years old).
            I asked to Roger if Nicola can play a song on drum with Roger. Roger accepted it and
            invited us to the sound check

5 PM : Thanks to the invitation of Roger, we went to the sound check.
            After 20 minutes, Roger called Nicola.
            They played together during 15 minutes. Roger played as well a new song "Brother St-Paul"
            which is beautiful.

6 PM : We went for lunch.
            Roger was looking where to go to eat as well.
            Benoit tried to invite Roger to come to eat with us.
            Roger was ok with it, but unfortunately, the 2 others technicians of Roger wanted to go
            somewhere else.

8:30 PM We were on the first row of the concert, just in front of Roger.
                His concert was beautiful, Amazing, Powerful, ....
                Nicola play the song with Roger very well.
                The best songs of the concert are for me :
                        1. Death or Zoo.
                                It is an amazing new song.
                                It is not possible to stay insensible to this song.
                        2. School
                                Roger play guitar and he asked to the public to "sing" the others instruments
                                ( piano, bass, ... )

Roger and Nicola during the concert. Nicola did a splendid job which was greatly appreciated by Roger and the audience.

23:00   End of concert

24:00   Roger sign a lot of autographs.
            We told him that we will see him in his Cologne's concert.
            And he has invited us to the Cologne's sound check.
            In the end, we tried to invite him for a drink, but no way, he was too tired.

2:00 AM Back in Brussels, Back from a dream. (next dream: Cologne on 06/14/98)

This concert was wonderful!
Benoît, Sarah and me were with a band of friends that we met at Tilburg and Amsterdam. We met again. During the Sound Check, Roger sang again the beautiful Brother-St-Paul and I asked if he could play his Christmas Song. And he did it... It's a very pretty song, with the warmth of some Christmas nights!

In the show, the special songs were:
    Don't leave me now
    Child of vision
    Travelled
    Fools Overture (the last song if the show)

He played again "Love is a 1000 times" and "School", again with the help of the public.

It was GREAT! Nobody can share such feelings, such simplicity than Roger. I like him very much et I love his new songs like "Death and A zoo" and "Say Goodbye".

There is no doubt that we'll see Roger on stage in France at September or October. So, just 3 or 4 months to go...
